Right to Refuse or Terminate Service
I will never discriminate against any writer or client based on sex, gender identity, religious beliefs, race, national origin, veteran status, or disability. In the event that I feel it is necessary to decline a request for services, it will typically be on grounds of one or more of the following:
- The project is not a good match for my skills. For example, I lack video editing expertise and would therefore decline a request to provide video editing services.
- The writing is a type I prefer not to edit.
- A potential client is a youth under age 18 who is unable to obtain legal guardian permission to work with me.
- A client has not honored my Terms and Conditions, my payment policy, my communications policy, or (for clients who are students) my policy on academic integrity.
- A client violates the terms of a contract for services.
In the event that I decline to work on a project, I will do my best to help the client find a service or expert who is able to work on the project.
Right to Request Improved Preparation
If I find that a document a client has submitted to me is not yet at a stage I can productively work with, I will return it to the client and ask the client to resubmit the document once the document has been further developed.
