If you are a writer on a budget, I suggest submitting your document to me for a brief general assessment to save on editing costs. For lengthy documents (longer than 20 double-spaced pages), I will charge US$ 40 to spend one hour going through your draft and preparing a list of key areas for you to address. For shorter documents, we can work out an appropriate rate.
This option will enable you to carry out many revisions on your own, at which point you are welcome to resubmit the document to me for further editing as your budget allows. We can also divide large projects into smaller parts with an installment payment plan to make fees more manageable. I also bill at discounted rates for youth, students, and incarcerated authors.
